Celebrancy Terms and Conditions

Legalities: You are aware that our Celebrant Ceremony is not a legal ceremony and that you will need to organise any necessary legal aspect separately.

Securing your booking: After meeting, your proposed date will be held on trust for 2 days.  A date is only booked and secured for you once the non-refundable booking fee is paid.

Late bookings: For ceremonies booked 2 calendar months or less before the ceremony date, the total fee, including any travel or accommodation fees, is due upon booking.

Travel and accommodation fees: Ceremonies held outside London incur reasonable travel expenses. Reasonable accommodation fees for night time ceremonies outside London, or venues at a great distance will be agreed as required.

Balance payments:  The remaining balance, including travel or accommodation (excluding extra ceremony revisions), can be paid in instalments or  paid in full up to 2 calendar months prior to your ceremony date.

Paying via PayPal: A PayPal fee of 3% will be invoiced in your Ceremony fee. (PayPal charges a fee in order for me to offer you this payment option.) Payment by Bank Transfers incurs no additional fee.

Outstanding payments: Any payments outstanding before the ceremony, will need to be paid in full in order for the ceremony to be conducted.

Ceremony content from you: You agree to get all requested ceremony content to me no later than 6 weeks prior to your ceremony or by our agreed date.  This includes content provided by your family/friends whether they are sending the information via yourselves or to me directly.  If not there may not be time to complete your ceremony’s finishing touches and is something I cannot be held responsible for.

Additional Fees:
Additional meetings: As part of creating your ceremony, an initial consultation (and a rehearsal for weddings/vow renewals/civil partnership conversion celebrations) is included free of charge as part of each ceremony process – with the option of one of these happening face-to-face or both via video-call.

I want you to feel assured, so at any point of the process you can request as many complimentary virtual or phone meetings as you find helpful.  These are a customary part of your ceremony package.

If you’d like any additional face-to-face meeting/s, aside from the one in-person meeting included in your package, there is a fee of £50 per face-to-face meeting, and will be invoiced accordingly.

Additional ceremony revisions: 2 full revisions of your ceremony script are included in your ceremony fee, as this is usually enough and at times only 1 revision is necessary.  Any additional revisions are charged at £25 per full revision, and are to be paid at the time of requesting them.

Rescheduling and Cancellations:
Cancellation by you: If you are rescheduling your ceremony, it may be possible to tranfer the fees to your new date and time, however there are exceptions.
Please read the Cancellation & Refund Policy here  for more information.

Cancellation by me: In the unlikely event I’m unable to conduct your ceremony, due to unforeseen circumstances, I will give you as much notice as possible and arrange for another professional Celebrant to conduct the ceremony we’ve designed.

Ceremony Copyright:
Written by me: Bespoke ceremonies scripted by me remain my intellectual property and may not be sold, reprinted, shared or published as your own work.

Written by you: “Deliver our words” ceremony scripts, will remain the intellectual property of the author.

Agreement to terms and conditions: Payment of the deposit establishes a working agreement between us and constitutes agreeing to these terms and conditions.
